RITUAL ITEM - Offerings
Buddhist ritual offering items are an essential part of Buddhist spiritual practice. Some of the most common offerings include the Stupa Box, Serkyem, tea and water pots, offering bowls (single and sets), butter lamps, and other items. These offerings are made as a symbol of generosity and to cultivate positive energy and merit. When making offerings, Buddhists fill the offerings with various substances such as water, tea, food, or incense, and place them before images of the Buddha or other objects of veneration. The offerings are then blessed and the blessings are transferred to the person making the offerings. The act of making offerings is said to purify the mind, create positive energy and merit, and bring blessings.
