Buddha
Gautama Buddha, popularly known as the Buddha, He is regarded as the founder of the world religion of Buddhism, and revered by most Buddhist schools as a savior, the Enlightened One who rediscovered an ancient path to release clinging and craving and escape the cycle of birth and rebirth. He taught for around 45 years and built a large following, both monastic and lay. His teaching is based on his insight into the arising of duḥkha and the ending of duhkha the state called Nirvana Read More
The Buddha was born into an aristocratic family in the Shakya clan but eventually renounced lay life. According to Buddhist tradition, after several years of mendicancy, meditation, and asceticism, he awakened to understand the mechanism which keeps people trapped in the cycle of rebirth. The Buddha then traveled throughout the Ganges plain teaching and building a religious community. The Buddha taught a middle way between sensual indulgence and the severe asceticism found in the Indian śramaṇa movement. He taught a training of the mind that included ethical training, self-restraint, and meditative practices such as jhana and mindfulness. The Buddha also critiqued the practices of Brahmin priests, such as animal sacrifice and the caste system.

A couple of centuries after his death he came to be known by the title Buddha, which means "Awakened One" or "Enlightened One". Gautama's teachings were compiled by the Buddhist community in the Vinaya, his codes for monastic practice, and the Suttas, texts based on his discourses. These were passed down in Middle-Indo Aryan dialects through an oral tradition. Later generations composed additional texts, such as systematic treatises known as Abhidharma, biographies of the Buddha, collections of stories about the Buddha's past lives known as Jataka tales, and additional discourses, i.e. the Mahayana sutras.

Medicine Buddha : Brief Introduction
Bhaisajyaguru is known as the Medicine Buddha. He is also called the Healing Buddha. It is said that he dispenses spiritual medicine when properly worshipped. There is even a belief that an efficacious cure may be accomplished by merely touching his image. In Tibet, he may be represented either as a Buddha or as a Bodhisattva. As a Buddha, he exhibits the urn (a small round bulge or protuberance above the bridge of the nose), which is the fourth superior mark of a Buddha, and the Ushnisha (a bulge or protuberance on the top of the Buddha's skull), which is the first superior mark of a Buddha. He has short and curly hair, wears a monastic robe, and is seated with his legs crossed. His left hand, lying in his lap in a meditation mudra, usually holds the medicine bowl, while his right hand, in a charity mudra, holds either a branch with fruit or the fruit alone of the myrobalan, a medicinal plant found in India and other tropical countries. Shakyamuni Buddha : Brief Introduction
The ancient Sanskrit term 'Buddha' translates to 'awakened' or 'supreme awareness', closely linked with 'Bodhi' denoting enlightenment. Gautama Shakyamuni, born around 563 BCE in Lumbini (now Nepal), epitomizes compassionate understanding and enlightened consciousness. His teachings centered on understanding desire's role in perpetuating suffering, a theme resonating across Hinduism, Jainism, and related faiths. He emphasized how greed, selfishness, and possessiveness obscure higher awareness, perpetuating suffering among the sick, hungry, elderly, and impoverished. Gautama's serene image stands in contrast to Western ideals of materialism and outward pride, advocating for inner enlightenment as the path to alleviating worldly suffering. Read More
Gold Painted Face
The face of Buddha is painted with gold to enhance its significant features, particularly the eyes, and lips. This detailed painting is essential as it brings forth the crucial attributes of the expression of eyes and lips that metal carving alone cannot capture.
Moreover, the painted face serves as a symbolic and sacred ritual in Buddhism, preparing the statue for consecration and practice. The act of painting the face with gold in Buddhism holds deep meaning. It represents the intention to bring life and expression to the statue, imbuing it with a sense of vitality and presence. The application of gold on the face showcases the devotion and craftsmanship of the artisans, ensuring that every detail is carefully attended to honor the sacred essence of the Buddha. Read More
Silver and Chocolate Oxidized
The Buddha features a captivating combination of partly silver plating and dark oxidation. This unique finishing technique combines the lustrous shine of silver with the rich, deep tones achieved through oxidation. In the process of creating this finish, selected areas of the Buddha are expertly silver-plated, creating a radiant and reflective surface that catches the light. The remaining areas are intentionally oxidized, resulting in a darkened patina that adds depth and character to the piece. Read More
Lost-Wax System
This Buddha is made by the process of the Lost-Wax system. The lost-wax process, also known as investment casting, is a time-honored technique used to create metal sculptures. It involves several steps that have been practiced for thousands of years. Skilled artisans begin by sculpting a detailed wax model, capturing every intricate detail of the desired sculpture. The wax model is then coated with a ceramic shell, formed by multiple layers of ceramic material. Once the shell has cured, the wax is melted and drained out, leaving behind a cavity. Molten metal is poured into the cavity, creating a precise replica of the original wax model. After the metal has cooled and solidified, the ceramic shell is carefully removed, revealing the final metal sculpture. Read More
